Classic electron-tube technology is combined with modern microelectronics, so that these classic items are in every way equivalent to state of the art HIFI systems. Kuba Imperial Tarantella 408

The beautiful music chest Tarantella 408 by Kuba Imperial is a real gem from the 50s. Due to an extremely elaborate restoration, this design monument has been transformed to its original state. Technically, the sound system is equipped with the Mondial radio-chassis by Kapsch, which drives two very powerful full-range speakers of the same brand. The vinyl record changer from Telefunken also impresses with its strong sound. In addition, an integrated Bluetooth 4.0 audio receiver builds the bridge to new music playback devices. An active subwoofer was added to ensure powerful and precise bass reproduction. Visually, the Tarantella is unique piece with many details. Originally, the electronic interior was totally covered by a wooden front at the time of delivery. We have replaced the cover on customer request by a glass pane. Now the illuminated interior of the device can be admired during its operation. This project was probably one of the most elaborate restorations in our company history, which we are not unjustly proud of. This piece of furniture has been owned by the same family for two generations and is now already used by the grandchildren of the former buyer. That is our mission and the pleasure of our customers our motivation.

Silva Musiktruhe Stereo Spezial

Our beautiful Silva music chest is not only a visual eye-catcher, but also a real treat for the ears. The built-in stereo radio chassis was combined at the zenith of tube technology with a wonderful two-way speaker system. Also the vinyl record changer Type 66 of Perpetuum Ebner leaves nothing to be desired and in order to be able to combine new audio sources devices with the music chest a Bluetooth 4.0 audio receiver was of course integrated into the existing technology. Visually, the piece of furniture was restored to its original state as part of a complex restoration. The clear coat as well as all brass elements shine in their original glory. A special highlight is the integrated, mirrored cocktail bar, which suggests to enjoy music with a glass of wine.

Eumig Musikschrank W

The elegant Eumigette music furniture is not called the Queen of Eumig for nothing. Completely revised optically, it shines again in its original glory! The music furniture has also been completely overhauled technically. The integrated dual turntable works like out of the factory and the radio reception is crystal clear again. The warm sound of the tube amplifier in combination with an active subwoofer, which is hidden in the former vinyl compartment, leaves nothing to be desired. The package is completed with a Bluetooth audio interface, so that even modern audio sources can be easily connected to the music furniture. After a life with many operating hours, a Queen was usually mothballed in the attic, in the basement or in the shed next door. These Eumigs have had to endure a lot and are in rather bad condition when arriving at our workshop. For an extensive restoration like this, our specialists have to invest many working hours, but above all the necessary passion. Only with this above-average commitment a Eumig furniture appears like a real Queen again.

Grundig Konzertschrank SO360

The Konzertschrank SO360 was the flagship of Grundig’s music furniture in the 1960s. It is not only impressive in terms of its dimensions, but also technically. Grundig had already introduced surround sound with two additional external loudspeakers. The depth of the room could be adjusted using an integrated hall module. The technical effort was significant for the time. In terms of its appearance, less was more in this design era. Technical equipment is hidden under covers. When these are closed, the SO360 looks very similar to a conventional furniture. This is called understatement. In addition to the radio, the Konzertschrank naturally has a fully automatic vinyl-record changer and a connector for a tape recorder, which we have used to connect a Bluetooth receiver. The SO360 set new standards back then and is still impressive after more than 50 years.

Nordmende Caruso Special

The Nordmende-Caruso is a relatively compact full stereo music furniture, which despite its small dimensions, provides all the advantages of a large concert cabinets. It is particularly high-grade in terms of the technical quality and workmanship of the exterior. A nine-tube radio-receiver, a modern stereo vinyl changer supporting four speeds and two highly effective broadband speakers guarantee maximum performance in reception and sound reproduction. This elegant music furniture always finds its place even in smaller apartments. We have carefully restored tis piece into its original condition. For this purpose, it was completely dismantled, cleaned and technically overhauled. In addition, a Bluetooth receiver was integrated so that even modern audio sources (e.g. mobile phone or tablet) can be easily connected to the furniture. Of course the Caruso also shines optically in its original splendor again. To accomplish this, we have fine-sanded the cabinet, polished it to a high gloss and restored all the decorative elements. In this condition, this music cabinet is a real rarity, which will again provide loyal service for many years to come.

Quelle Simonetta Cocktailschrank

The Quelle Simonetta cocktail-cabinet is truly a design gem of the 1960s. In addition to the functionality of a typical phono music-furniture, this icon integrates a wonderfully upholstered cocktail compartment. Simonetta’s front section is adorned with a wooden and a glass door, which can be moved against each other. The doors are decorated with a golden flower in the middle part. In addition, the design of the Simonetta was adorned with beautiful brass strips on the outer edges. The entire piece of furniture stands on four legs which are finished with shiny brass caps. This piece was originally sold by the Quelle Versandhaus (Germany). It was therefore actually a product for the small budget. In order to turn the built-in technology into a modern HiFi system, a number of technical modifications had to be made. Among other things, the loudspeaker installed in the base plate, pointing downwards to the floor, was removed, relocated to the front and replaced by a high fidelity one. For this purpose, the turntable was moved upwards and a brass loudspeaker grille was installed, which fits seamlessly into the design of the Simonetta. The original turntable was replaced by a better one from Dual and the tube technology of the radio/amplifier section, as well as its tone control network, were modified accordingly to ensure a perfect vintage sound experience. Of course, modern audio sources (e.g. mobile phone or tablet) can also be connected to the Simonetta via an integrated Bluetooth interface. To improve the sound in the lower frequency range, the piece was combined with a compact, active subwoofer. The originally integrated lighting has also been replaced by modern LED technology. Therefore the lighting- color and intensity of the cocktail compartment can be continuously adjusted using a remote control. Of course, the turntable is also discreetly illuminated in warm white light, which automatically switches on and off with the radio. Restoring a Simonetta is an extremely complex undertaking, but the unique result was well worth the effort. This cocktail cabinet has been transformed by our experts into a unique piece that is unparalleled anywhere in the world.
