The Minerva Gloriette 590 was the audio-visual highlight of the 50s! We have brought this beauty back to life. Therefore the Gloriette was technically and optically restored to its original condition. In terms of sound, the radio with a powerful push-pull output stage (2xEL84) in combination with a total of five speakers leaves nothing to be desired. The wonderfully crafted dual turntable delivers the distinctive sound of the 50s thanks to the original crystal pickup. Nevertheless, every new vinyl record can be played smoothly without damaging it. In order to be able to connect modern audio sources to the music cabinet, a Bluetooth audio receiver was also integrated. One can confidently say that the Minerva is one of the best sounding radios of this era. The TV chassis was also completely overhauled and the picture tube was regenerated. The widely used picture tube AW 53-80 provides a razor-sharp black and white picture. You do not believe what picture quality the TV sets delivered at that time until you have experienced it yourself. A unique feature of our TV overhaul is the integration of a HDMI interface and Apple TV. This means that videos can be easily streamed from your MacBook, iPad or iPhone directly to the TV by using AirPlay Interface. After proper restoration of the TV set, it is extremely reliable again. So watching the daily news show or spending film afternoons with Hans Moser is no problem at all.
