Nordmende was one of the leading brands in the flourishing time of the German economic miracle. Radios of this manufacturer were characterized not only by excellent quality and great speakers, but also by the technical gimmicks. We restored the Phono Super, one of Nordmende’s top products. By applying the re-sound package “Supersonic”, the radio has been technically as well as visually updated. The color combination of brown, mustard, black and white seamlessly follows the original design of the radio without destroying its character. The record tray is now illuminated and a mirror has been applied showing the reflection of the spinning record. So playing vinyl records is not only a treat for the ears but also true eye candy. Every detail was processed with the claim of absolute excellence. The beautiful depth of the clear coat finish, as well as the costly detailing of the individual decorative elements make this beauty a unique piece worldwide. To meet our requirements, the Phono Super is of course also an everyday HIFI device. In addition to conventional FM radio, the turntable was repaired and modernized so that your black gold can be played gently and naturally in stereo sound. A Bluetooth receiver builds the interface to modern streaming platforms like Spotify or Tidal and a compact subwoofer ensures the correct representation of the lower frequency spectrum. The Phono Super is undoubtedly the spearhead of our restorations. Visually an absolute eye-catcher. Technically, it leaves nothing to be desired. A unique radio that will give its new owner great pleasure again in the coming decades.
